Lakewood, NJ – Longtime Lakewood askun, Chaplain and Baal Chesed, Rabbi Yaakov Wenger has announced his candidacy for the Lakewood Township committee this November.

Rabbi Wenger is a chaplain and is the co-founder of the National Chaplains Association.

He is the publisher of the popular Lakewood Shopper magazine. He is the Chessed of Lakewood director and co-founder of Lakewood Shomrim.

Rabbi Wenger is running to be on the Township Committee, which controls all legislative powers of Lakewood  Township, In addition, the Committee appoints members to boards, commissions, and committees affecting the day-to-day life of Lakewood Yidden.
