Hollywood, FL — Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) formally endorsed Pro-Israel Floridian Jewish Republican Congressional candidate Bryan E. Leib in his bid to unseat the former chair of the Democratic National Committee, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (who voted for the Iran deal, among many other anti-Israel bills).
“I am proud to endorse my dear friend Bryan Leib in his bid for U.S. Congress.” Rep. Claudia Tenney said. “Bryan has a deep love for our nation, his Jewish community, the US-Israel alliance, and our shared Judeo-Christian values. Congress needs new blood and individuals with unwavering resolve to support our America First Agenda and President Trump. I look forward to working alongside him next year in Washington.”
Ahead of the Florida Republican Primary on August 20th, congressional candidate Bryan Leib has been creating a stir in the race and has outlined his policies and platform, including support for Pro-Religious Freedom and School Choice, standing in support of Israel, and combating anti-Semitism.
“Claudia becomes the 5th sitting Member of Congress to back my bid in Florida’s 25th Congressional District to unseat Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.” Leib told FrumNews.com. “Claudia is one of my closest friends and allies in Congress. I’ve had the honor of working with her over the years on many domestic and foreign policy-related issues.”
“Next year in Congress, I have a feeling that Claudia and I will be partnering on many bills to advance our America First agenda and to back President Trump,” Leib added.
Who is Rep. Claudia Tenney?
Rep. Tenney is a staunch supporter of Israel well before and after the horrific events on October 7. In the days after the attacks, she stood with the Jewish community and introduced a number of bi-partisan bills to bolster Israel in the wake of the attacks, including restocking the Iron Dome and preventing International organizations from funding terrorist organizations.
Recently, the congresswoman released a bill that would recognize the Yehuda and Shomron as part of Israel and would force the State Department to use the term “Judea and Samaria” instead of the “West Bank.”
In April, the congresswoman was honored by the Israel Heritage Foundation (IHF) and received the Cup of Blessing award for her unwavering support for Israel and the Jewish community during these trying times.
At the IHF event, Rep Tenney affirmed, “I will always stand with the Jewish community and the State of Israel because the truth is the only path to peace. I will continue to speak out against the scourge of anti-Semitism that is resurging in America and will advocate for America’s greatest ally in the Middle East – the State of Israel.”
A Wave of Support
In Late June, former Brooklyn, NY Assemblyman and founder of Americans Against Antisemitism, Dov Hikind, endorsed Bryan’s candidacy in Florida’s 25th Congressional District. This high-level Jewish endorsement paves the way for many Jewish leaders to endorse Leib.
“I know Bryan. He is an amazing guy, a great American. He loves this country. He’s a proud Jew, an amazing supporter of Israel,” Dov Hikind said at the time. “We need people like Brian in the United States Congress, and we need to remove, to get rid of those individuals who talk but don’t take action. Action that is needed on behalf of the Jewish people, on behalf of Israel.”
As previously reported on FrumNews.com, Bryan has also received support and endorsement from Trump-endorsed congress members Cory Mills and Byron Donalds, as well as former Ambassador Richard Grenell. He also received the endorsement of Randy Fine, Florida’s sole Jewish Republican serving in Florida’s House of Representatives.
“I am proud to endorse Bryan Leib for Congress,” Fine said at the time. “There are only two Republican Jews serving in Congress, and we need to make it three because we need voices that are going to stand up to the woke left, Rashida Tlaib, AOC and the Anti-Semitism in Congress. I know he will do that, so I am proud to support him.”
