Three IDF soldiers were killed and ten soldiers were wounded after Hamas Terrorists fired over a dozen rockets and mortar shells from Rafah in Gaza toward the Kerem Shalom border crossing, army bases and Kibbutzim along the Israel-Gaza border on Sunday afternoon.

  • The three Kedoshim were identified as
    Sgt. Ruben Marc Mordechai Assouline HY”D, 19, from Ra’anana;
    Sgt. Ido Testa HY”D, 19, from Yerushalyim; and
    Sgt. Tal Shavit HY”D, 21, from Kfar Giladi.

Assouline and Testa served in the Shaked Battalion in the Givati Brigade. Shavit served in the 931st Battalion in the Nahal Brigade.

Combat helicopters evacuated many of the injured, some critically, to Soroka Medical Center in Beer Sheva, Israel.

A rocket also made a direct hit on a home in Kibbutz Kerem Shalom, one israeli civilian was injured.

Following the attack, the Israeli Air force fired at and eliminated the rocket launch site in Rafah. The military immediately closed the Kerem Shalom border, halting the entry point for “humanitarian aid” trucks into Gaza.

Kerem Shalom is the southernmost Israeli town near along the Gaza border, it also shares a border with Egypt.

Since the 2005 Israeli Disengagement of Gush Katif until the October 7 attacks, thousands of Gazan “civilians” entered Israel through the Kerem Shalom border crossing to work during the day, as well to receive medical treatment in Israeli hospitals.

On Simchas Torah, Hamas Terrorists and “Gazan Civilians” overtook and destroyed the Kerem Shalom border crossing, murdering the eight heroic IDF soldiers stationed there who went down with a big fight. The terrorist partially took over two of the nearby Kerem Shalom IDF bases until they were finally eliminated. Other terrorists entered the Israeli Kibbutz of Kerem Shalom, whose residents were part of the first response security team that eliminated over 30 terrorists inside the Kibbutz, B’Chasdei Hashem saved the Kibbutz from a massacre. Two Yidden from the Kibbutz part of the defense team were killed protecting the Kibbutz.
