Tragedy struck the frum kehillah of Williamsburg Tuesday at around 2:40 pm. after a 10-year-old frum girl, Hayaldah Yita Wertzberger U"h, was fatally struck by a car at a busy triangle intersection on Wallabout St where Franklin Ave and Wythe Ave connect.

Tragedy struck the frum kehillah of Williamsburg Tuesday afternoon after a 10-year-old frum girl, Hayaldah Yita Wertzberger U”h, was fatally struck by a vehicle at a busy triangle intersection on Wallabout St where Franklin Ave and Wythe Ave connect.

Williamsburg Hatzalah swiftly arrived at the scene and rushed the girl to Brooklyn Hospital in critical condition. Shortly later, her untimely Petirah was announced.

NYPD released a statement that the driver stayed on the scene and is fully cooperating with the police while they investigate this heartbreaking accident.
