Sarah Campbell, the communications and policy director to Williamsburg-based State Senator Julia Salazar who praised Hamas on a private social media channel after the terror group’s deadly incursion on Israel was fired Monday morning.

She remarked on X following the horrific attacks on Simchas Torah, “By any means necessary”. She wrote a few days later “After how many decades of a violent occupation does armed resistance become justified.”

“I don’t condemn Hamas, I condemn Israel,” Campbell wrote. “Who has reigned more terror: Hamas in the entirety of their existence, or Israel in just the last 30 days? Which group has massacred more civilians? Displaced millions? Bombed hospitals? Killed premature babies? Starved an entire people?”

After the posts surfaced, Salazar addressed the report in a post on X, writing that her staffer posted the comments to her “personal, locked social media account without my knowledge.”

“Her personal thoughts are not mine, and do not reflect me or my office in any way at all,” Salazar wrote. “I’m not going to allow anyone to wrongly pin another person’s reckless and completely unacceptable words onto me or my office.”

“We are pleased that appropriate measures were taken, in light of these horrific remarks.” Williamsburg Askunim told FrumNews.com. “But more need’s and must to be done, its is unacceptable for one of representatives, to have a staffer who spews such hatred”
