NYC Quietly Relocating Migrants To Upstate NY In Rockland County and The Catskills

The blueprint includes relocating and housing illegal migrants outside NYC, which includes opening Homeless shelters in Rockland County and the Catskills Mountains in Sullivan County, NY
Good news for New York City—bad news for the rest of the State

Over the past two years, that as New York City suffers an illegal migrant crisis, a ‘solution’ has opened up: Send the asylum seekers upstate, to migrant shelters in Rockland County and the Catskills Mountains. (Additional solutions have been proposed as well by the city council common-sense caucus which includes Republican and moderate Democrats, such as moving illegal aliens from NYC—back to their home country with the help of the Federal Government, but that doesn’t seem to have been accepted by City of New York)
The office of the Mayor Of New York City Eric Adams released a blueprint named “The Road Forward,” aimed at fixing the migrant crisis. It says the city is “in the early stage of being able to assist asylum seekers in relocating to their preferred city of choice.”
The blueprint includes relocating and housing illegal migrants outside NYC, which includes Rockland County and The Catskills Mountains in Sullivan County. Nassau County and other parts of Long Island including Republican controlled towns, villages and districts in northern New York State have refused to accept ‘asylum seekers’ from New York City.
The blueprint urges, “Localities throughout the state of NY to welcome ‘migrants’ seeking refuge. With additional funding from New York State, community-based organizations can help migrants settle outside New York City. Locating, running, and operating sites outside of and in New York City to provide short and long-term housing and shelter.”
Tucked deep in the blueprint, is a new “migrant workforce training pilot” program, to house illegal migrants upstate to earn a post-secondary credential or degree, and live free in college residence halls, including SUNY Sullivan College in Loch Sheldrake, NY, near Liberty and Center for Discovery in Harris, NY, near Monticello and South Fallsburg—with full accommodations provided.
“Asylum seekers will also receive workforce training through The Center for Discovery in Sullivan County, NY, in health care, human services, hospitality, culinary, and agricultural sectors. One of the program’s goals is to develop a blueprint so that others around the state can replicate the model.” The pilot plan stated.
Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), who is rumored to run for NY Governor and serves as chair of the House Republican Conference, blasted the plan, accusing the city of “making a permanent welfare system for illegal immigrants in New York State.”
In 2023, Mayor Adams declared a state of emergency over the migrant crisis. Since then an estimated 250,000 migrants have been processed by NYC with most either living in local hotels or at city-wide emergency Homeless shelters at a cost to taxpayers of approximately $5.1 million a day and over $9 billion since the city of New York started footing the bill. These costs do not include the expenses for the asylum seekers that have been relocated to upstate NY, that is under a separate program.

Put up NO TRESPASSIING signs in English and Spanish at entrances to bungalow colonies , summer home villages and on the grounds.
Make trespassing a criminal offense.
Home owners who pay taxes and support local towns should feel protected by their county and state elected officials.-

No trespassing signs and any language is a big fat joke, because the crazy laws of New York are that if somebody breaks into your home and your home can be a two or $3 million home and they are there for over 30 days then it is theirs, and you can stand on your head and do whatever you want to fight back for your own home, and you will have to fight and fight and fight And then pray that you get it back so your assign means nothing. The only thing that can possibly help is if there is a caretaker on the grounds of the colonies that chases them away the second they try to enter.

First of all, they are not migrants, they are illegal aliens. Secondly, if we want to help job train, bring people into the workforce, we have plenty of Americans who would be happy to receive free housing, and free education/job training. Charity begins at home.
