NYC officials under the failed far-left liberal leadership of then Mayor, Bill de Blasio, abused his authority by directly targeting Jewish schools (Yeshivas) with citations and inspections during COVID-19.

After 4 years a FOIL (Freedom Of Information Law) request by Jewish radio host Ari Hoffman, finally revealed that NYC Democrats specifically targeted Jewish Yeshivas in Brooklyn in the fall of 2020, by adding special restrictions, regulations, and punishments many months after the pandemic reached its peak and just weeks after tens of thousands of New Yorkers lawlessly protested, rioted and looted, without any social distancing due to COVID-19 in Downtown Brooklyn and Manhattan.

No non-Jewish private or charter schools were listed.

At the same time, while in office, former NY Governor Andrew Cuomo and his then lieutenant governor and successor, Kathy Hochul, “Redlined” and targeted New York’s Brooklyn Jewish communities by ordering under “Health Emergency” all non-essential businesses only in the Jewish communities of Borough Park and Flatbush to be shut. Those Jewish owned businesses that disobeyed were harshly fined and forcibly padlocked by NYC Deputies.

Editors Note: FrumNews.com would like to point out some hard undisputed FACTS.

When COVID-19 hit NYC, the Orthodox Jewish community were the first on our own to close our schools, Shuls, stay home, social distance and if there was an urgent need to go outdoors, to do so while wearing a mask.

The rest of NYC only began realizing the extreme dangers of COVID-19 and started doing these basic common sense social-distancing strategies 10 Days later.

The Jewish Borough Park and Flatbush community were targeted by both NYS and NYC in June of 2020 every morning after the BLM riots and it only intensified in September, 2020, when the pandemic was weakening and just as NYC was recovering and rebuilding Manhattan after the violent BLM riots and looting destroyed nearly 1000 businesses (many small businesses which have never reported since their store was looted) which were triggered by mass-protests without any form of social distancing do to “health concerns.”

The direct targeting of Jews in NYC had nothing to do with “health”, since the city and state were not concerned with mass social protests during the June 2020 riots. But had everything to do with anti-Semitism orchestrated by the three current and former elected officials named above.

The excuse former NY Governor and NYC Mayor used to target the Jewish community was “high COVID positive Percentage % test results.”

To elaborate: Unlike the residents of many other neighborhoods in NYC, that after finishing their “Summer of BLM Riots” they all ran to the doctor every day to test for Covid “just in case.”

In Boro Park and Flatbush. Baruch Hashem, the Jewish community has large families with a busy schedule, jobs and a meaningful life. The Jewish community didn’t have time all day to randomly test out of boredness, and only tested when an individual felt that they may have Covid-19, thus making the percentage of positive results much higher since the Jewish community only tested when there was a need and not because we had nothing better to do with our lives.

In the words of the inspector: they have a list of schools to issue summonses. They made ZERO attempt to confirm if the school was closed before writing the summons. (It WAS closed)
