Anti-Jewish Groups Push To Endanger American Jewish Lives

The “Minibus” federal spending bill passed by Congress last month cut $30.5 million from the Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP). This 10% cut threatens the safety and security of our Chedorim, Yeshivos, Batei Midroshim and our other Jewish institutions. To add insult to injury, there are now extreme Leftist groups – falsely claiming to speak for the Jewish community.

The “Minibus” federal spending bill passed by Congress last month cut $30.5 million from the Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP). This 10% cut threatens the safety and security of our Chedorim, Yeshivos, Batei Midroshim and our other Jewish institutions.

To add insult to injury, there are now extreme Leftist groups – falsely claiming to speak for the Jewish community – who, after spending the months since Simchas Torah speaking in ways that endanger Jewish lives in Eretz Yisroel – are trying now to endanger American Jewish lives by opposing Congress increasing funds for the NSGP grants. This is shocking.

At a time when anti-Semitic incidents are on the rise and criticism of Israel is escalating into attacks on Yidden, opposition to security funding for our shuls and yeshivas is a betrayal of our community’s needs.

“These extreme leftist groups are falsely claiming to speak for the Jewish community and have spent the past months speaking in ways that endanger Jewish lives in Israel; they’ve decided to now also try to endanger Jewish lives in the U.S. by opposing NSGP.” A spokesperson for the OU Advocacy Center told FrumNews.com.

We need your help today. Contact your Members of Congress and tell them we need to pass legislation that includes $400 million for the NSGP alongside aid to Eretz Yisroel.

The OU Advocacy Center has set up a platform to send letters to Congress, You can click here to send your letter.
