Yerushalayim—In some good news from Eretz Yisroel, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant signed an order allowing Yidden to return to northern Shomron.

The move comes after three European countries backstabbed Eretz Yisroel by recognizing a “Palestinian state.”

Since the 2005 Israeli Disengagement of Gush Katif, and parts of Yehudah and Shomron, Yidden were not allowed in the far northern area of the Shomron, near Jenin. Four Yishuvim in the Shomron were dismantled by the Israeli government when they disengaged in 2005, just as the IDF evacuated Gush Katif, directly leading to the chaos we see now in Gaza.

At the time, a law was passed that banned Israelis from entering the regions. That law was repealed by the Knesset last year, but military orders still barred Israelis from entering.

On Wednesday, Gallant instructed the IDF to rescind the order declaring the area of three of the four Yishuvim to be a closed military zone, opening it up to Israeli citizens.

“Following the repeal of the Disengagement Law in the Knesset and after completing the necessary procedures, we’ve succeeded in completing this historic move. Jewish presence in Yehudah and Shomron ensures security, and the bill’s implementation will lead to the proper growth of of more Yishuvim and provide security to the area’s residents,” Gallant said.

“As I’ve done in all my roles in the Israeli government, I will continue to develop Yishuvim in Yehudah and Shomron, strengthen security measures, and ensure the resident’s safety—on the roads and in the Yishuvim themselves.”

“The bill’s implementation comes after extensive discussions that Defense Minister Gallant held with the council head and IDF officials,” Gallant’s office said in a joint statement with the Head of the Shomron Regional Council, Yossi Dagan.

“This correction is a historic moment, both morally and security-wise, for Israel, especially after Oct. 7,” Dagan said. “Today, the State of Israel officially corrected the injustice of the disengagement from northern Shomron. I commend Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for this just and valuable decision for the State of Israel and IDF Central Command chief Yehuda Fox, who had the honor to sign this important correction.”

So happy that Gallant is making the right decision! Israel belongs to the Jews and should be fully occupied by us.
