Hatzolah of Central Jersey hosted a memorable “Night of Appreciation” on Wednesday evening, honoring the selfless dedication of its 200+ volunteers who continuously serve their community in times of emergency and crisis. Sponsored anonymously by an admirer of Hatzolah, the BBQ and event offered both heartwarming and lighthearted moments, reflecting the gratitude of the communities that Hatzolah serves.
The event featured divrei chizzuk and inspiration from HCJ Captain Motti Waisbrod, who underscored the extraordinary commitment of Hatzolah members, and an emotional address from Lakewood rosh yeshiva Reb Tzvi Menachem Feigenbaum, who recounted how Hatzolah paramedics recently saved his life after he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest.
Adding a lighthearted touch to the event, Boruch Perlowitz hosted a humor-filled game show, quizzing Hatzolah members on their knowledge of the organization’s history and operations.
Each Hatzolah member received a small gift as a token of appreciation for their unwavering dedication and tireless work – a symbol of the immense gratitude felt by both Hatzolah leadership and the community for their continued sacrifice and commitment.
Hatzolah of Central Jersey extends special thanks to the emergency service agencies that covered emergency calls in Lakewood during the event, ensuring that all Hatzolah members could participate in the evening’s festivities. These agencies included Lakewood First Aid, Pleasant Plains First Aid Squad, Flatbush Hatzolah, Canarsie Hatzolah, Rockland Hatzolah, Rockaway/Lawrence Hatzolah, Queens Hatzolah, Riverdale Hatzolah, and Bergen County Hatzolah.
