FULL REPORT: Maamad Adirei HaTorah 3.0 Draws 25,000 Celebrating Simchas HaTorah
At the third annual Maamad Adirei Hatorah, approximately 25,000 people packed into Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Arena to celebrate Limud Hatorah and the 7,568 Yungerleit living it at Beth Medrash Govoha (BMG) in Lakewood, NJ.

Philadelphia, PA — At the third annual Maamad Adirei Hatorah, approximately 25,000 people packed into Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Arena to celebrate Limud Hatorah and the 7,568 Yungerleit living it at Beth Medrash Govoha (BMG) in Lakewood, NJ.
In its third year, a continuation of an initiative started several years ago by Mr. Leizer Scheiner and his partners. Each maamad is part of the annual campaign to raise funds to cover the BMG’s kollel budget.
At this pivotal moment, at a time when the world is cutting back and slowing down, gedolei hador, roshei yeshivah, rabbanim, beloved adirei haTorah, and all of Klal Yisroel gathered for the most important show of kavod HaTorah to date—the third Maamad Adirei HaTorah—the completion of a chazakah.
Moreinu Harav Shmuel Kamenetzky, שליט”א, Rosh Yeshiva of Philadelphia, made a rare public appearance at the Maamad, underscoring the Rosh Yeshiva’s support and Kavod for Torah.
Addressing and inspiring the crowd by Harav Malkiel Kotler, Rosh Yeshivah of BMG, HaRav Moshe Hillel Hirsch, שליט”א, Rosh Yeshivah of Yeshivas Slabodka in Bnei Brak, and HaRav Ephraim Wachsman, שליט”א, Rosh Yeshivah of Yeshiva Meor Yitzchok in Monsey. Also addressing via video message were Harav Yosef Mermelstein, שליט”א, Rosh Yeshivas Novominsk.
Reb Yosef Heineman served as master of ceremonies.
Meir Adler orchestrated the musical portion of the event, which featured singers Yanky Daskal, Meilech Braunstein, Bentzi Stein and the Shira Choir, as well as instruments from Tzvi Goldring, Yossi Farkas, and Nachmen Dryer.
