BD”E: Skverer Rebbetzin, Rebbetzin Chaya Chana Twersky, A”H

FrumNews.com is saddened to report on the heartbreaking petirah of the Rebbetzin of the Skverer Rebbe, Rebbetzin Chaya Chana Twersky A”H. the Rebbetzin of, ybl”ch, the Skverer Rebbe shlit”a, and the matriarch of the Chassidus. She was 81 years of age and had battled an illness for past two years.

The Rebbetzin was born into a scion of Tzadikim, she was the eldest daughter of the late Vishnitzer Rebbe of Boro Park Z”L, who was known as the Yeshuos Moshe. She was born in Deezh, Hungary, during WWII and was named after her grandmother, Rebbetzin Chaya Chana of Tchachov.

She grew up under the influence of her illustrious zeide, Harav Chaim Meyer, the Imrei Chaim.

Her brothers are Reb Yisroel – the Vishnitzer Rebbe of Bnei Brak, and Reb Mendel – the Vishnitzer Mercaz Rebbe. Her sisters are the Belzer Rebbetzin, the Satmar Rebbetzin of Kiryas Yoel, and the Rebbetzin of the Vizhnitzer Rosh Yeshiva of Bnei Brak, HaRav Menachem Ernster.

The Rebbetzin stood by her husband, the Skverer Rebbe, and supported him as he led thousands of Chassidim at every turn.

She was the mother to her four sons and three daughters, who are leaders in the Chassidus or married to Admorim and Rabbonim.

She was predeceased by her daughter, the Zhviller rebbetzin, a”h, one year ago.

The levaya is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. in New Square.
