On the second day of Rosh Hashana, 24 Yidden were injured in what Israeli officials are describing as a mass-casualty incident after a drone struck a popular section of the city center in Eilat, Israel

Eilat, Israel – On the second day of Rosh Hashana, 24 Yidden were injured, two critical, in what Israeli officials are describing as a mass-casualty incident, in a attack after Houthi terrorists launched a suicide drone with explosives from Yemen and struck a popular section of the city center in Eilat, Israel.

Dozens of Magen David Adom (MDA) and United Hatzalah Ambulances, along with multiple IDF Helicopters have transported the injured to hospitals in Southern Israel.

Warning sirens sounded throughout Eilat in the moments prior to the attack, many were saved by taking shelter. The IDF and Israel Air Force launched an Investigation and confirmed that the drone interception failed because it was flying at a low altitude which delayed detection.

This is one of the highest number of injured Israelis in a single incident, since the October 7th massacre on Simchas Torah.

The attack, was the second drone to hit Eilat in less than a week.
