The Free Family Fun Extravaganzas, sponsored by Frum Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein and in partnership with the Council of Jewish Organizations of Flatbush (COJO) and the Boro Park Jewish Community Council (BPJCC), have become an annual tradition in the Frum neighborhoods of Boro Park and Midwood and are eagerly anticipated each year by thousands of local residents, young and old.
This year’s events were especially successful, with huge numbers of attendees enjoying the events at both locations. They featured a wide range of thrilling rides, fun activities, excellent attractions, and outstanding entertainment.
On Thursday, April 25th, the first day of Chol Hamoed Pesach, the Midwood community was treated to a full-blown, fun-filled event, that included performances by top-tier entertainers Uri Davidi, R’ Shloime Taussig, and more. Children enjoyed free pony rides, bumper cars, magic shows, and a monkey show. Free balloons and cotton candy were also provided.
On Friday, April 26th, Boro Parkers enjoyed entertainment by the one and only Uncle Moishy, a fire show, a ventriloquist, and plenty of rides and attractions. The renowned Boruch Perlowitz served as Master of Ceremonies. Free healthy Kosher for Pesach snacks and drinks were available for all to enjoy.
“There was something for everyone to enjoy at this year’s Family Fun Extravaganza,” said Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein. “I was delighted to see so many constituents enjoying the many free rides and attractions together with their families. Chol Hamoed is a special time to connect with our loved ones in a fun, positive atmosphere, and I was gratified that so many people took advantage of this great opportunity without spending a dime or traveling to far-flung locations.”
The Midwood event was co-sponsored by COJO of Flatbush. “Once again, COJO was able to give Midwood families a free, fun-filled and wholesome afternoon of rides, games, and entertainment with our annual Chol Hamoed Pesach Extravaganza,” said COJO Flatbush CEO Louis Welz. “And once again it was Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein who played a pivotal role in helping us put so many smiles on so many faces – not just of children but of their parents as well. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Simcha in bringing simcha – great joy – to our community.”
In Boro Park, the Family Fun Extravaganza was co-sponsored by the BPJCC. “Just watching so many thousands of children jumping for joy and running from ride to ride brought such excitement for us at the BPJCC, and a warm feeling to me personally,” said Rabbi Avi Greenstein, CEO of the BPJCC. “We put in many months of hard work to make this event a success and to see it work out so flawlessly is heartwarming. I am especially pleased to know that so many people saved lots of money because of this event and that we were able to enhance their simchas Yom Tov. We are so grateful to Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein for sponsoring the Extravaganza and bringing joy to so many families.”
Residents from across the community reached out to Assemblyman Eichenstein to thank him for this outstanding event, which they enjoyed with no out-of-pocket expense. “During these challenging times when so many families are struggling financially, I am thrilled to have offered a first-class Chol Hamoed experience for everyone to enjoy. The memories of this experience will be cherished by all for a long time to come.”
