Brooklyn, NY — Prosecutors have issued charges against a Pakistani immigrant after he twice attempted to ram and mow down Yeshiva Bochurim while screaming that he would “K… all Jews” outside the Vien Mesivta in Canarsie near Flatbush.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul said on Thursday that she directed the New York State Police to coordinate closely with the NYPD on the investigation of this incident.

The suspect was charged with attempted murder, menacing as a hate crime, and first-degree attempted vehicular assault.

As previously reported on FrumNews.com, the driver deliberately drove onto the grass lawn in front of the Yeshiva, clearly trying to run over the Bochurim, before further attempting to ram the Bochurim on the other side of the yeshiva at a very high rate of speed, and then speeding away.

B’chasdei Hashem, no one was hurt.

Immediately, Flatbush, Crown Heights and Boro Park Shomrim joined the NYPD in an area-wide search for the suspect.

The FBI and the joint terrorism task force were called in as well to assist the NYPD hate crime detectives in this investigation.

Flatbush Shomrim quickly found the suspect and car outside a Dunkin Donuts shop at Flatbush Avenue and Kings Highway. The NYPD 63rd Precinct took the driver into custody.

After being taken into custody, the suspect was interrogated by Police detectives. By Thursday, the suspect was charged with attempted murder, menacing as a hate crime, and first-degree attempted vehicular assault.

At this time, the suspect is remanded in custody. But has not been charged federally, as the investigation is still ongoing.
