Brooklyn, NY – Last week, a young Bocher returning from the airport to Borough Park with a group of friends was handed a briefcase by his Uber driver, assuming it belonged to a friend that was traveling with him. After realizing no one in the group owned it, he contacted Shmira for assistance.
Shmira volunteers swiftly investigated and identified and contacted the rightful owner, a jewelry dealer, who hadn’t yet even realized he had just lost the valuable case.
On Thursday, the businessman visited NY Shmira Public Safety headquarters in Borough Park, Brooklyn, to retrieve his backpack.
The owner relieved to have it back—expressed appreciation for the bocher that found his valuables, and grateful for Shmira’s quick efforts going above the call of duty, to locate him.
