Rockland: Tragedy in Pomona: 14-Year-Old Bochur Killed In Car Accident

Rockland County, NY – A tragic incident unfolded this afternoon at Overlook Drive in Pomona near Monsey when a Bochur passed away at the scene of an accident.

The incident happened around 2:50 PM when a vehicle struck a Bochur driving on a bicycle. The victim was later identified as 14-year-old Efraim Rubin, A”H, the son of Yblch”t Mordche Rubin.

Hatzolah and emergency services responded to the scene, but unfortunately, the victim was declared dead upon arrival.

Haverstraw police called it “a tragic accident,”  based on witness accounts of the accident as well as surveillance video recovered from the scene show that “this appeared to be a tragic accident and no charges are being filed against the driver at this time.

Chesed Shel Emes, Misaskim and Rockland Chaverim were also on the scene.
