Rockland County Hosts Bipartisan Discussion on Combatting Anti-Semitism

Rockland County, NY — On Tuesday evening, a vital public conversation addressed the growing concern of Anti-Semitism in the wake of the Milchama in Eretz Yisroel.
Organized by the Jewish Federation and Foundation of Rockland County, the bipartisan conversation entitled, ‘Unity in Action,’ was graciously moderated by Ari Rosenblum, CEO of the Jewish Federation and joined by Congressmen Mike Lawler (R-NY) and Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ).
The discussion was about how congressional Democrats and Republicans can and must work together to meet the challenges of supporting Eretz Yisroel, confronting Anti-Semitism, securing our communities and bringing people together.
The Congressmen, engaged in an erudite and insightful conversation on Israel’s intricate geopolitical landscape and America’s vital role in fostering regional stability and security. A significant portion of the discussion revolved around the pressing issue of Anti-Semitism on college campuses, with both leaders sharing their concerns and proposed solutions.
Joining the event was Rabbi David Katz, Executive Director of the Israel Heritage Foundation, who had just led a unity delegation to Eretz Yisroel. As well close to 200 local residents, including many Askunim and community leaders

As the evening drew to a close, the audience was left inspired by the power of unity and the unwavering dedication of these exceptional leaders to the cause of justice and peace.
The Jewish Federation thanked its President Marcy Pressman, VP Dustin Hausner, CRC Chair Evan Karzhevsky, their friend Jason Shames, CEO of the Federation of Northern New Jersey, their board, staff, and agency partners for making this event a success, bringing together close to 200 community members.
