New York City allocates $2 Million Dollars in city funding for Chasdei Lev to support Yeshiva teachers, Mayor Adams announced

Brooklyn, NY – On Sunday, March 30, NYC Mayor Eric Adams volunteered by the Chasdei Lev / Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition Pesach distribution, at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn.
While helping to load vehicles with kosher for Passover food boxes, the Mayor spoke with many Rebbeim and Morahs expressing his support for the Jewish communities Yeshivas, its students and devoted teachers.
But that wasn’t all, Mayor Adams announced that New York City is allocating $2 Million Dollars in city funding for Chasdei Lev. The Mayor presented Chasdei Lev with a giant replica check in the amount of the funding.
In a statement on social media, Mayor Adams said:
- “Our teachers and yeshivas uplift our children—and today, we gave back. Proud to present $2 MILLION in city funding to Chasdei Lev to support this vital work.”
Joining Mayor Adams, was the director of development for Agudath Israel and Co-founder of Chasdei Lev, Rabbi Naftali Miller. Chairman of the Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition (FJCC), Josh Mehlman. NYPD Community Affairs Deputy Chief Richie Taylor. NYPD Community Affairs Lieutenant Duran McLean. NYPD Clergy Liaison, Chaplain David Heskiel. Commissioner of the Mayors Community Affairs Unit, Fred Kreizman. Senior Jewish Liaison of the Mayors Community Affairs Unit, Moshe Davis. Vice-Chairman of Brooklyn Community Board 12, Yaakov (Jack) Kaplan and many dedicated Chasdei Lev Volunteers.
