NHTSA Issues Recall for Honda Odyssey, Pilot
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced that Honda has issued a recall for 248,000 vehicles due to damaged engines that might run improperly or stall while driving, increasing the risk of a fire, crash, or injury.

The recall includes different Honda models and years and is due to a manufacturing error where “the connecting rod bearing in the engine may wear and seize, damaging the engine.”
Models included in the recall include:
2018-2019 Odyssey; 2016 and 2018-2019 Pilot; 2017 and 2019 Ridgeline; 2015-2020 Acura TLX; 2016-2020 Acura MDX.
No injuries have been reported from the manufacturing error, but nearly 1,500 warranty claims have been filed for the issue.
Vehicle owners subject to the recall will be notified by Honda beginning in early January, whereupon dealers will repair and inspect suspect vehicles at no charge.
