Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour later on March 10, 2024, than the day before.

There will be more light in the evening nationwide, and Shabbos will start and end one hour later.

Fire departments nationwide are reminding homeowners to change the batteries of their smoke and CO2 detectors.

Smoke detectors with built-in 10-year batteries should be changed.

If the alarm chirps, warning that the battery is low, replace the entire smoke alarm right away. Smoke alarms with any other type of battery need a new battery at least once a year.
