“Has the US Airline Boycott of Israel Concluded?”
Tel Aviv, Israel – According to “Globes” and several other international media outlets, United Airlines announced it will resume flights between New York and Ben Gurion Airport starting from March 18.
The popular frum travel blog DansDeals released a statement
- We reached out again to United after a Globes report today said that United is now planning to return to Israel on 3/18, but United once again responded to DansDeals that, “Our flights to Tel Aviv remain suspended at this time.”
Like most non-Israeli airlines, United canceled all fights as war broke out following the Simchas Torah massacre. Then briefly resumed flying to Israel before halting flights yet again, last summer!
Delta airlines announced it will resume flying directly between the US and Israel starting April 1. Many other international airlines have resumed flights to Israel following the hostage-deal ceasefire announcement.
In related news, FrumNews reported that the Israel Airport Authority (IAA) is warning Israeli soldiers, many of whom have recently been released from reserve duty, traveling through Ben Gurion International Airport not to accidentally forget their ammunition and weapons in their bags or luggage.
