As a SQL Server DBA, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems. You will also ensure the continuous availability and security of data, monitor system health and performance, and provide continuous support for our production systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, upgrade and test database software
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes
  • Manage user access and permissions
  • Perform backup and recovery operations
  • Implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
  • Monitor and optimize database performance and resource utilization
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in real time
  • Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
  • Document database policies, procedures, and standards
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

5+ years related experience

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Proficient in SQL Server administration, T-SQL, and Windows Server
  • Knowledge of high-availability and disaster recovery options for SQL Server
  • Experience with performance tuning, index management, statistics, and integrity checks

LANGUAGE AND FRAMEWORK SKILLS

  • T-SQL
