Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to take ownership of our estimating and bidding process from start to finish. This hands-on role involves preparing precise estimates, reviewing architectural plans, and collaborating with the sales team to create competitive, winning bids. If you excel in construction estimating, reading plans, and summarizing data, this is an exciting opportunity to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with sales teams to complete pre-bid forms and align on strategies.
• Review architectural drawings and project specifications to develop detailed estimates.
• Perform material pricing calculations, including shipping, taxes, overhead, and commissions.
• Request and negotiate pricing with vendors to ensure competitive quotes.
• Develop project budgets and ensure accuracy and profitability.
• Compile professional proposals and scope-of-work documents to submit bids.
• Summarize complex data into actionable insights and deliver clear, professional reports.
• Organize and maintain project data, ensuring everything is accessible and up-to-date.

Must-Haves

• 4+ years of proven experience in construction estimating and reading architectural plans.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis.
• Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with sales teams and vendors.
• Ability to manage the entire estimating and bidding process independently.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and task management capabilities.
• Strategic mindset for preparing competitive bids and understanding profit margins.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in custom cabinetry or similar industries.
• Experience working with multiple projects and creating complex calculations.
• Familiarity with sales strategies and pitching proposals effectively.
