About the Role:
A food manufacturing company is seeking a highly capable Operational Controller to oversee and optimize their financial operations. This is a critical leadership role requiring a hands-on financial expert who can bring structure and drive efficiency across all accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background, excellent forecasting abilities, and a leadership mindset to support an accounting team of 3. The role requires someone who can operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, ensure accurate financial reporting, and assist in driving the company’s financial growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage billing, incoming payments, and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain relationships with banks, ensuring smooth financial operations.
• Develop and implement budget, forecasting and projections to drive financial strategy.
• Bring fundamental accounting structure to improve financial reporting and internal controls.
• Ensure the clerical team handles their roles effectively.
• Work closely with the CEO and other leadership teams to provide financial insights.

Who You Are:

• A strong financial leader.
• Background in manufacturing, production, or similar industries is preferred, but not required .
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to forecast, budget, and manage financial risks effectively.
• Capable of working in high-pressure environments and keeping operations running smoothly.
• Comfortable being hands-on and strategic, ensuring that financial functions operate efficiently.
