140 – 160k (Based on Experience)

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Forecasting & Merch Ops Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in data analytics, with exceptional skills in Excel and SQL, capable of manipulating numbers and using pivot tables. This role requires a strong understanding of inventory management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team. You will support a team of 10+ buyers/merchants and manage a team of 2-3 inventory planners. Additionally, you will be responsible for process improvements, approvals, and promotional calendar management. This role reports directly to the VP of Inventory, Pricing, and Merchandising.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analytics:

  • Analyze and manipulate large datasets to support decision-making.
  • Use Excel and pivot tables extensively for data analysis.
  • Utilize SQL and Big Query for advanced data crunching to improve speed and efficiency.

Team Leadership:

  • Support a team of 10+ buyers/merchants, providing guidance and strategic insights.
  • Manage a team of 2-3 inventory planners, ensuring accurate and timely inventory planning.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.

Forecasting and Inventory Management:

  • Develop and manage forecasting models to predict inventory needs.
  • Meet and review daily purchase orders (POs) with inventory planners.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Oversee the approval processes for inventory and merchandising decisions.

Promotional Calendar Management:

  • Coordinate and manage the promotional calendar in collaboration with the team.
  • Ensure all promotional activities are aligned with inventory and merchandising strategies.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Maintain excellent communication with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Inventory, Pricing, and Merchandising on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in data analytics, forecasting, and inventory management.
  • Skills: Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data manipulation.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage a team of inventory planners.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Process Improvement: Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Ownership: Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
  • Education: Relevant degree or experience in Business, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • E-commerce Experience: While not required, experience in e-commerce is a plus.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of SQL and Big Query; experience with data analysis tools.
  • Additional Skills: Experience in crunching data and implementing efficient processes.
