As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of home health care services. You will oversee and manage various aspects of our operations, including staffing, compliance, quality assurance, and client satisfaction. This role plays a pivotal part in maintaining our commitment to providing the highest standard of care to our clients.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to all aspects of home health care operations.
2. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of clinical and administrative staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver quality care.
3. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications.
4. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to guarantee high-quality care delivery.
5. Client Satisfaction: Foster a culture of client-centered care and manage client satisfaction initiatives.
6. Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency.
7. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute long-term strategies to meet organizational goals.
8. Technology Integration: Implement and optimize technology solutions to enhance operational processes and efficiency.
9. Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly monitor and report on the performance of operations.
10. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.
11. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and oversee emergency response and disaster recovery plans to ensure the safety of clients and staff.
12. Performance Improvement Meetings: Actively participate in the agency’s performance improvement meetings, offering insights and recommendations to enhance operational excellence.
13. Policy and Procedure Development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR Related policies and procedures.
14. Compliance Reviews: Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements for a licensed home care agency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Direct day to day operations of home health; compliance with all pertinent, current rules, resolutions standards and guidelines.
2. Develop implements, review, and update all policies and procedures in accord with the needs and rights of participants and caregivers, and in compliance with acceptable standards of practice.
3. Overall responsibility for the coordination and integration of home care programs with all Corporate Community Programs.
4. Utilizes effective problem-solving and decision-making approaches, identifies root cause of problems and issues, formulates potential solutions, solicits appropriate input, and evaluates effectiveness of solutions.
5. Coordinates the established marketing program and implementation of strategies ensure maintaining established referral sources, the development of new sources and markets.
6. Makes written and oral reports/recommendations to the COO as necessary concerning the operations of the Agency.
7. Reviews contracts with other community agencies.
8. Interfaces and coordinates all related regulatory communications and activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, business, or a related field is required (master’s degree preferred); Or a minimum of 10 years of experience in home health care operations or a related field in a supervisory position.
• Strong knowledge of home health care regulations and compliance.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in using healthcare management software and technology.
