Our client is leading importer and distributor, catering to wholesalers across the country and retail shops in the NY, NJ, CT, and PA areas. Additionally, we have a robust presence on Amazon FBA, and we are looking to grow even further. As the role of Chief Operating Officer, you will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our ambitious goals. The Role: The ideal candidate will be responsible for marketing existing products to our wholesale customers and expanding our presence on Amazon and other e-commerce platforms. This role requires a self-starter with a proven track record in e-commerce, particularly on Amazon, and experience in developing new accounts and on various online platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • E-Commerce Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive e-commerce strategies to promote our products across multiple online platforms, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach to drive sales and visibility.
  • Amazon Management: Manage and optimize our Amazon FBA listings, including keyword research, SEO optimization, competitive pricing, and high-quality product content to maximize conversions and sales.
  • Platform Expansion: Identify and establish new e-commerce opportunities on platforms such as eBay, Walmart, Shopify, Etsy, and many other relevant marketplaces. This includes creating and managing product listings, ensuring compliance with platform policies, and developing tailored marketing strategies for each platform.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with account representatives on various e-commerce platforms to ensure our products receive prime placement and support.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, emerging trends, and the competitive landscape. Use this information to inform product positioning, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Design and execute effective marketing campaigns, including pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, social media promotions, email marketing, and influencer partnerships, to boost product visibility and sales on e-commerce platforms.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Utilize data analytics tools to track and measure the performance of marketing campaigns, sales trends, and customer behavior. Provide regular reports and actionable insights to senior management.
  • Customer Engagement: Monitor and respond to customer reviews and inquiries across all platforms, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Wholesale Client Expansion: Develop and execute strategies to expand our wholesale client base, including identifying potential new clients, building relationships, and negotiating contracts.
  • Big Box Store Sales: Pursue opportunities to sell our products to big box stores, including preparing sales pitches, meeting with buyers, and managing ongoing relationships with these key accounts.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the sales, product development, and customer service teams to align on goals, share insights, and ensure a consistent brand message across all channels.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest e-commerce trends, platform updates, and industry best practices. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, enhance customer experience, and drive sales growth.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in e-commerce marketing, with a strong emphasis on Amazon FBA.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and growing accounts on multiple e-commerce platforms.
  • Experience in expanding wholesale client bases and selling to big box stores.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform strategy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, SEO, PPC, and social media advertising.
