Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Vision Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will design detailed shop drawings for custom cabinets and closets using Cabinet Vision software. This role requires collaboration with sales, manufacturing, and assembly teams to ensure designs are executed properly, as well as updating designs for functionality and aesthetics. Candidates should have past shop or construction experience to effectively understand and implement practical and accurate design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Drafting: Create detailed shop drawings for custom cabinets and closets using Cabinet Vision software.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, manufacturing, and assembly teams to ensure designs meet customer specifications and are executed accurately.
  • Design Updates: Modify and update designs to enhance functionality and aesthetics based on feedback and practical requirements.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from conception through completion, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Technical Documentation: Interpret and create complex drawings and technical documents to guide the manufacturing process.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency with Cabinet Vision software: Strong expertise in using Cabinet Vision for creating detailed designs preferred.
  • Mechanical and Technical Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical and technical aspects related to cabinetry design and manufacturing.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Interpretation of Drawings: Ability to interpret complex drawings and technical documents accurately.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address design and manufacturing challenges.

Experience Required:

  • Cabinetry Design and Manufacturing: 3-5 years of experience in cabinetry design and manufacturing.
  • Construction or Shop Experience: Hands-on experience in construction or a shop setting to understand the practical aspects of design implementation.
  • Project Management: Proven experience managing projects from conception through completion, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
