Position Overview:
As the Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial operations, including transaction entries, month-end reporting, and cost accounting. This role requires strong knowledge of core accounting principles and the ability to implement efficient systems and processes. A background in manufacturing and cost accounting is a must to manage the financials effectively. You’ll collaborate with the external accounting firm for guidance and be the go-to person for everything related to finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Transaction Entries & Bookkeeping:
- Manage all daily transaction entries accurately, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Month-End Reporting & Close:
- Lead month-end closing processes, preparing financial reports and ensuring reconciliation of all accounts.

Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Operations:
- Perform cost accounting for manufacturing operations, analyzing and reporting on inventory, labor, and material costs.
- Ensure the accurate calculation of product costs and provide insights on pricing strategies.

System Implementation & Team Collaboration:
- Implement and maintain accounting systems that ensure smooth financial reporting and team collaboration.
- Collaborate with internal departments to align on financial procedures and provide guidance.

Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements to management, identifying opportunities for cost-saving and process improvements.
- Collaborate with the external accounting firm to ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.

Ownership of Financial Operations:
- Take full ownership of the financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting.
- Experience in manufacturing and/or cost accounting is a must.
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with a strong go-getter attitude.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience in month-end closing and financial reporting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to financial management.
