Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper and Financial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in QuickBooks and proficient with Excel. This role is a mix of bookkeeping and financial analysis, requiring expertise in cost accounting, financial management, and the ability to manage and analyze financial records. The candidate must be capable of performing detailed cost analysis related to manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • QuickBooks Management: Utilize QuickBooks for financial record-keeping, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient management of all financial records.
  • Excel Expertise: Apply advanced Excel skills, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP, for financial analysis, reporting, and data management.
  • Cost Accounting: Perform detailed cost accounting for the manufacturing process, including reviewing the cost of manufactured goods and conducting cost analysis using ERP system data.
  • Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), credit line approvals, and the preparation of financial reports such as rebate program and sales commission reports.
  • Data Entry Oversight: Supervise and guide a supporting staff member responsible for data entry, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely completion of financial documentation.
  • Contract Review: Review and analyze contracts to ensure they are financially sound, aligned with company objectives, and support the company’s financial goals.
  • Rebate and Commission Reporting: Prepare and manage rebate program reports and sales commission reports, ensuring timely and accurate calculations.
  • Credit Line Management: Review credit reports, approve credit lines, and ensure proper credit management for the company, including monitoring credit limits and terms.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct regular cost analysis to provide insights into manufacturing costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support pricing decisions.
  • Compliance and Controls: Ensure all financial operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of  3 years of experience in bookkeeping, financial analysis, or a related role, with a strong emphasis on cost accounting.
  • QuickBooks Proficiency: Must have hands-on experience with QuickBooks, including setting up and managing financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create complex financial models, use pivot tables, and apply formulas and VLOOKUP functions effectively.
  • Cost Analysis: Proven experience in conducting cost analysis, particularly related to manufacturing processes and ERP systems.
  • AR/AP Management: Strong understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, with experience in managing these functions.
  • Credit Management: Experience in reviewing credit reports, managing credit lines, and making credit approval decisions.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Leadership: Ability to oversee and guide a data entry support staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial tasks.
  • ERP Experience: Familiarity with ERP systems and the ability to leverage them for financial analysis and cost accounting.
