Job Description:
Join our dynamic paper goods distribution and manufacturing company as an Account Manager! We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused individual with experience in servicing accounts and driving business growth.
As the Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and expanding relationships with our existing customers. While this role is similar to sales, it focuses more on supporting sales efforts from an executive level and identifying opportunities for growth within our customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular communication and interaction. Act as the primary point of contact for account management and support.
- Account Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of customer accounts to identify opportunities for growth and expansion. Evaluate customer needs, preferences, and pain points to tailor solutions and initiatives accordingly.
- Sales Support: Collaborate closely with sales teams to provide support and assistance in identifying sales opportunities within existing accounts. Offer strategic insights and recommendations to enhance sales effectiveness and drive revenue growth.
- Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with customers to understand their business goals, challenges, and objectives. Offer innovative solutions and ideas to help customers achieve their objectives and maximize their partnership with our company.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding our product offerings within existing accounts. Develop and implement strategies to increase customer loyalty, retention, and satisfaction.
- Executive Oversight: Provide executive-level support to sales teams by overseeing customer interactions, providing guidance and direction, and ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities. Continuously seek opportunities to improve account management processes, enhance customer experience, and drive business growth.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in account management, customer success, or business development roles.
- Proven track record of success in building and maintaining relationships with key accounts and driving business growth.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think creatively, identify opportunities, and propose innovative solutions.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and attend industry events as needed.
