Boro Park Chaveirim Celebrates Opening of New Headquarters
Brooklyn Chaveirim held their ribbon-cutting event for their new state-of-the-art headquarters in Boro Park on 48th Street. The large warehouse contains offices, training rooms, and parking space for Chaveirim’s fleet of vehicles. which will enable them to do their work more quickly and efficiently.

Brooklyn Chaveirim, which encompasses Boro Park, Flatbush, Crown Heights and Williamsburg divisions, held a ribbon-cutting event for their new state-of-the-art headquarters in Boro Park at 48th Street between 11th and New Utrecht Avenues. The large warehouse contains offices, training rooms, and parking space for Chaveirim’s fleet of vehicles. which will enable them to do their work more quickly and efficiently.
Joining the event were Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstien, Councilman Kalman Yeger, Askun Rabbi Berish Freilich, outgoing senior advisor for the Mayor, Yoily Eisdorfer, District Leader Pinny Ringel, Frum NYPD community affairs lieutenant Yitzy Jablonsky, Frum NYPD deputy chief Ritchie Taylor, Commanding Officer of the 66th precinct Captain Kenneth Herrarte, the NYPD Community Affairs division, among other elected officials and Askunim.
Founded in 2001, Brooklyn Chaveirim comprises a dedicated team of over 500 volunteers. Dispatchers and service members that stand by 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, equipped with advanced dispatch and communication systems, top-of-the-line equipment and vehicles to help take care of the needs of our community.
“These selfless volunteers are always available to assist us when we need a helping hand and this new state-of-the-art facility will enable them to do their work more quickly and efficiently.” Assemblyman Eichenstien said.
Recently, Reb Aaron Yitzchok Cohen, founder of the Chesed organization Brooklyn Chaveirim, was honored by Mayor Eric Adams at the annual Jewish Heritage Event hosted this month at Gracie Mansion in Manhattan.

Chaveirim does amazing work, but they are also the “middleman” between Boro Park residents and the DOT when there is a large issue. Many times after Chaveirim inquires about a issue (like sharp objects or multiple steep potholes on city street that are causing flat tires) NY City has it fixed in under 24 hours.
