Breaking: NYPD Officer Shot and Killed In Far Rockaway Near Frum Stores
In the heart of the Frum community of Far Rockaway near kosher stores, an NYPD officer was shot.
UPDATE - The officer succumbed to his injuries a few hours later in the hospital.

In the heart of the Frum community of Far Rockaway near it’s many Kosher Stores and frum-owned shops, and just one block away from the 101st Precinct. An NYPD officer was shot in the stomach while conducting a vehicle stop at Beach 19th St and Mott Ave at 5:50 pm. Both the officer and the suspect were shot.
The critically wounded officer was immediately transported to the hospital by a patrol car, Police redirected traffic to maintain a clear path for Far Rockaway Hatzalah and FDNY ambulances, responding to the emergency and treating a second police officer suffering from tinnitus., who was taken to Jamaica Hospital.
The police officer, Part of the NYPD CRT (Community Response Team) succumbed to his injuries a few hours later in the hospital.
The suspect was promptly transported to North Shore University Hospital for medical attention, his condition has not been reported on. Upon securing the scene, Police recovered the suspect’s illegal firearm.
The young suspect with a violent rap sheet of 21 arrests including weapons possession, was released from a New York prison in 2021 after serving 5 years behind bars for a felony. His parole ended in 2023. He has since been arrested and released without bail multiple times in New York’s revolving door ‘justice’ system, leading up to this shooting.
The NYPD has not commented on the shooting yet, but asked people to steer clear of the area as they investigated the shooting.
Many Chessed Organizations and Askunim have shared their condolences for this hero officer, his family and the NYPD.
