Kew Gardens Hills, Queens – Assemblyman Sam Berger visited the grand opening of Famous Pita, an Israeli street food spot bringing authentic, bold, and home-style flavors to the heart of Kew Gardens Hills.
“For so many in Kew Gardens Hills, Aron’s is a cornerstone of the neighborhood. I was proud to support the expansion of Famous Pita into the store, which adds even more to what makes Aron’s special, and I was thrilled to celebrate with a delicious shawarma laffa”, said Assemblyman Berger.
“When I first opened the original Famous Pita in Flatbush, Brooklyn, in 1988, my goal was to bring authentic flavors to the community. It’s incredibly rewarding to continue that tradition today at Aron’s Kissena Farms in Queens”, said owner Baruch Tanami.
A local foodie and resident of KGH stated to FrumNews:
- ”Kew Gardens Hills along with the surrounding Queens area have many Kosher eateries, the original Famous Pita is a great addition to the neighborhood and community. From Main St to Kissena Blvd, for locals and those traveling from other neighborhoods alike—Kew Gardens Hills is a thriving location for Kosher restaurants.”
