Ahead of Rally, Relatives of Israeli Hostages Speak Out At The U.S. Congress

The Family members of the Israeli hostages, and other nationalities (including Americans), that are being held by Hamas in Gaza shared their stories for the first time on Capitol Hill. During a Joint Prayer Session hosted by members of the House and Senate, in conjunction with Chabad of Israel.
The resilient group have journeyed to Washington DC, to be a part of the unprecedented solidarity rally taking place on today at the Washington Mall alongside community members, leaders, and allies.
In another event, House lawmakers appeared shaken Tuesday morning after being shown highly graphic footage of the terrorist group Hamas’s deadly Simchas Torah attack on Eretz Yisroel.
About 150 lawmakers, Democrats and Republicans, joined the screening of the 40-minute-long video of the attack. In an email to members, The House Foreign Affairs Committee, who invited the lawmakers, described the video as “proof of Hamas’ war crimes.”
On Tuesday, following the screening, several members were seen leaving the room in tears, and others consoled their colleagues as they walked to their respective party’s meetings.
The House of Representatives Committee on Education and the Workforce also held a hearing titled “Confronting the Scourge of Antisemitism on Campus.”
