Lakewood Police Captain Retires After Over 30 Years of Dedicated Service

Lakewood, NJ — Captain Tommy Langenberger of the Lakewood Police Department (LPD) said goodbye to the police force on Monday after 30 years of dedicated service to the township, starting back in August 1995.

A lunch was held for Captain Langenberger at the LPD headquarters on 3rd St, and he was presented with a plaque thanking him for over 30 years of dedicated service to the LPD.

The LPD congratulated Captain Langenberger on his retirement, writing on Facebook:

“Congratulations to Captain Tommy Langenberger on your well-deserved retirement! After over 30 years of dedicated service to the Lakewood Police Department, starting back in August 1995, your commitment and leadership have made a lasting impact on our community.

“Captain Langenberger has navigated through various challenges and changes in policing, always prioritizing public safety. He is also a proud graduate of the FBI National Academy, which highlights his dedication to professional development and excellence in law enforcement.

“As he steps into retirement, it’s a time to celebrate his remarkable career and reflect on the positive impact he’s had on countless lives.
