Position Overview:
We are a growing early learning company seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controller to join our team. As the Controller, you will oversee all financial operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient management of financial transactions and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations, including preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Supervise and support one bookkeeper in day-to-day accounting tasks.
• Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for operational improvement.
• Assist with budget preparation and monitoring, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Oversee payroll, tax filings, and audits in collaboration with external accountants.
• Manage cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure financial goals are met.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in accounting or finance (3-5 years).
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.
• In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and tax regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
