Drone Explodes In The Golan, 18 Lightly Injured, 1 IDF Soldier Critically

Yerushalayim — Several suspicious aerial targets were identified crossing from Lebanon into Eretz Yisroel on Sunday afternoon, and an explosive UAV fell in the northern Golan Heights.
As a result of an explosive UAV in Metula, an IDF soldier was critically injured, and 17 soldiers were lightly injured.
The soldiers were evacuated to a hospital to receive medical treatment. Their families have been notified. B’chasdei Hashem, no casualties were reported.
Another launch was identified in Beis Hillel, crossing into Eretz Yisroel and falling into an open area.
Preliminary investigations found that the aerial defense system identified the UAV fired by Hezbollah Terrorists, but the Iron Dome did not successfully intercept it.
In retaliation, the IAF struck Hezbollah terror targets in southern Lebanon, including a Hezbollah observation post in the area of Markaba and a launcher in the area of Ayta ash Shab from which a projectile was fired today toward northern Israel. Additionally, IDF Artillery fired to remove threats in multiple areas in southern Lebanon.

As previously reported by FrumNews.com, these attacks come as Hezbollah terrorists recently escalated their attacks on northern Eretz Yisroel, sending thousands of rockets and drones at the Yishuvim in the north. This leads to IDF forces returning fire and sending the Air Force to wipe out Hezbollah positions and terrorist infrastructure near the border.
Over the week, Hezbollah terrorists launched dozens of rockets at northern Eretz Yisroel, including Tzfas and other northern Yishuvim, and cities.
On Friday night, sirens sounded in northern Eretz Yisroel as Shabbos started when Hezbollah terrorists fired dozens of rockets and drones at the area. Three hostile UAVs were identified crossing from Lebanon into northern Israel and fell in the Western Galilee area. Furthermore, approximately 25 launches that crossed from Lebanon toward the western Galilee and Galilee panhandle areas were identified.
The IDF recently approved operational plans for an offensive in Lebanon, and decisions were made on continuing to increase the readiness of troops in the field.
