Hezbollah Fires Rockets, Drones at Eretz Yisroel Over Shavuos, IDF Strikes Back

Hezbollah terrorists bombarded northern Eretz Yisroel with hundreds of rockets and drones on Wednesday, Shavuos and Thursday, Isru Chag, which was one of the largest barrages since the war began.

Lebanon’s Hezbollah terror group, an ally of Hamas backed by Iran, has been trading fire with Israel almost daily since the war in Gaza broke out eight months ago.

Non-stop sirens sounded over the past two days, with sirens in the wake of rockets and drone infiltrations, with hundreds of rockets and drones launched by terrorists.

For the first time, rockets were fired at Tiveria, as well as at Haifa, Tzfas, Har Meron and nearby Yishuvim in the north.

By Motzei Yom Tov, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a security assessment on the escalation with all top IDF, security, and emergency officials.

Baruch Hashem, no casualties were reported, as most were intercepted or caused widespread brush fires.

Hezbollah claimed the attacks were a response to the IDF killing of top Hezbollah terrorists. 

The IDF confirmed the attacks, stating that on Wednesday night, IDF fighter jets struck Hezbollah military structures, as well as additional terrorist infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
