On Friday aftermoon, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and three others were injured in a serious accident, with the vehicle carrying Minister Ben-Gvir overturning.
Minister Ben-Gvir, the minister in charge of Israel’s police forces, was on his way back from the site of a terror attack in the Central Israeli Ramla (near Lod and Rishon Letzion), in which an Israeli 18-year-old girl was seriously injured in a stabbing attack
According to reports, Ben-Gvir’s car legally ran a red light with lights and sirens (which he was legally allowed to do as it was an official visit) when another car collided with it.
Ben-Gvir had left the scene of the accident with moderate injuries and was transported to Assaf Harofeh Hospital. Additionally, his daughter, driver, bodyguard and the driver of the second vehicle were injured and taken for treatment.
