WhatsApp, the popular messaging platform widely used for business and to communicate within the Frum kehilla and Yiddishe networks, was briefly down worldwide today, after a systemwide outage.
Just after 2 PM, users started experiencing issues connecting to WhatsApp in multiple countries, with the service stuck on “connecting” for many. Messages sent, weren’t delivered until WhatsApp came back online
Meta’s other apps, Facebook and Instagram were experiencing downtime as well.
WhatsApp services are currently back up and running, after being down for almost an hour.
WhatsApp, nor Meta, issued a comment on the malfunction as of Wednesday evening.
In early March, Facebook and Instagram users were impacted globally for more than two hours following a technical issue that caused an outage.
And we’re back. Happy chatting!
