Shmira Advisory: Make Sure Your Video Cameras Are Recording When Changing Your Clocks Tonight
The Shmira surveillance team put an advisory for the community that when changing your clock, it’s a good reminder to also double check that your video cameras are recording
On Motzei Shabbos, Daylight Saving Time Ends, where we “move back” one hour at 2:00 A.M. Clocks should be manually, phones and many electronic devices are automatically set back 1 hour (gaining one hour).
Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour earlier.
There will be less light in the evening nationwide, and Shabbos will start and end one hour earlier.
Fire departments nationwide are reminding homeowners to change the batteries of their smoke and CO2 detectors.
Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors with built-in 10-year batteries (which have become the mainstream battery functioned smoke/carbon detectors) should be changed when nearing the 10 years of use.
If the alarm chirps, warning that the battery is low, replace the entire smoke alarm right away.
The Shmira surveillance team put out an advisory for the community that when changing your clock, it’s a good reminder to also double check that your video cameras are recording.
Another common occurrence on many CCTV Systems that have not been updated, the timer also needs to manually be changed so the video footage shows the correct time, Shmira has advised.
