Lufthansa Group To Resume Flights to Eretz Yisroel
The Lufthansa Group, Europe's second-largest airline will resume its flights to Tel Aviv, on on January 8, 2024, with 20 weekly flights.
The Lufthansa Group, Europe’s second-largest airline (which includes its namesake airline Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings), will resume its flights to Tel Aviv, the group announced.
Lufthansa suspended its flights to and from Tel Aviv following the outbreak of war, when Hamas launched its brutal terror attack on Eretz Yisroel during Simchas Torah.
According to the airline, flights will resume on January 8, 2024. “In the first phase, Lufthansa Airlines will initially offer four weekly flights from Frankfurt and three weekly flights from Munich. In addition, Austrian Airlines is planning eight weekly connections and SWISS five weekly flights. In a first step, the Lufthansa Group airlines will thus offer a total of 20 weekly connections to and from Tel Aviv”
The flight schedule will be published on Monday, December 18. Flights can be booked from this date.
In regard to safety, the airline stated, “Safety is always a top priority for the airlines. The Lufthansa Group continues to monitor the security situation in Israel closely and is in close contact with the local and international authorities. Possible flight schedule adjustments must be expected due to changing conditions.” The airline added.
